SWIM LESSONS, BABY BUBBLES & SWIM TEAM

We will once again be partnering with Huron-Clinton Metroparks and Washtenaw County to offer free swim lessons this summer.

Registration for Swim Lessons will happen in two different ways;

  1.  Registration for Sessions 1 and 2, Adult, Saturday and Baby Bubbles will be in person at Rutherford Pool (975 Congress St.) on:

  • May ++++th from 2pm to 4pm

and

  • May 16th from 2pm to 4pm.
    After those dates it is whenever the pool is open.

  1. Registration for Sessions 3 and 4 will be online through the Huron-Clinton Metroparks website. Registration is expected to open sometime in May. We suggest you sign up for Friends of Rutherford Pool and/or Metroparks emails to receive more details when they are available.

    We ask that you register for one session per child only so we may accommodate as many children as possible.  For speed of registration, know your summer calendar and swimmer’s ability.

We do not have lessons in the afternoon or evening for kids.

Please choose the most accurate class for your child.  We try to keep the classes with a low teacher swimmer ratio for safety reasons and for the best instruction possible.  PLEASE BRING YOUR CALENDARS SO YOU KNOW YOUR AVAILABILITY. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A SESSION IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON MISSING MORE THAN ONE DAY. FIRST DAY IS CRUCIAL IN SETTING THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE CLASS.

Swim Sessions contain  Toddler, Beginner, Beginners II, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Each class is 45 minutes long and there are eight classes. Classes are held Monday-Thursday with Friday held as a make-up day if we have a weather or pool issue. We do not make up if it is the swimmer’s absence.

DESCRIPTION OF LEVELS:
